At MD Creative, we’re proud of our ability to meticulously research, review, and truly understand our clients’ projects. We get to know all stakeholders, outline goals and strategies, and set up processes that allow us to reach and exceed your project communication goals.

A communications plan needs to be bespoke and thoughtful. We’re experienced in crafting custom communication plans for brands and projects. Whether it’s an infrastructure project that requires heavy detail due to the number of stakeholders and impacts to the surrounding community or a brand launch for a new line of topical cannabis products that are sold across Canada – we’ve seen it all. We know the importance of a communications plan is to look at the big picture and for us to do our homework when it comes to literally ALL things that need to be communicated. Often many of our other services end up in this plan, this works out great for us and for our clients because we work out what is needed and then we execute the work aka RESULTS.

Our Communications Consulting Experience

Our team has a combined number of 24+ years of professional experience. We have worked together on numerous contracts and projects, including BCIT since 2021 and Dragados since 2017 – both of whom we currently work with on a regular basis.

BCIT Campus Planning and Facilities

JANUARY 2020 – PRESENT

In the past three years, we have developed and executed communication plans, strategies and multi-media spanning content and messaging for significant development, sustainability-focused campus projects and other initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders for BCIT’s Campus Planning and Facilities department. Our extensive professional experience has enabled us to create successful multi-media campaigns that resonate with BCIT’s target audiences and community.

In our work with BCIT, we strongly emphasize communication and coordination between all stakeholders involved in a project. We regularly liaise with internal and external parties to ensure everyone is informed and on the same page. Our collaboration with BCIT’s communications manager and project leads has been a crucial part of this process, as we work together to communicate project goals, timelines, and budget and manage issues that arise. We work closely with the communications manager and relevant project teams to create comprehensive communication plans for large projects.

Our strategic communications plans are based on meticulous research. They define target audiences, outline the roles and responsibilities of each stakeholder involved, define short-term and long-term goals, identify appropriate media channels and messaging, and ensure that every stakeholder is aware of their specific contributions and responsibilities.

Our cohesive, comprehensive and accessible communications planning and content creation approach helps maintain messaging continuity and ensures everyone works towards the same objectives. One of the key benefits of our approach has been the success of our collaborations with local industry partners (Burnaby, Vancouver, BC). By maintaining clear and open lines of communication, we have created successful campaigns that resonate with our target audience. Our unique strategic approach to communication and collaboration has been instrumental in the success of our work with BCIT. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, we have created cohesive, meticulously researched and written messaging and streamlined the communication process for large projects.

House of Wolf

JULY 2022 – AUGUST 2024

House of Wolf is an Indigenous-owned and operated consultancy firm working to inspire and support Indigenous people and communities. Their primary focus is community safety consulting. The Mental Health and Cultural Resilience Program (MWCR) has become a beacon for the House of Wolf team and community. House of Wolf’s founders created this program to provide mental health resources and support to marginalized and at-risk Indigenous Yukoners.

MD Creative developed a comprehensive communication and marketing plan outlining short-, intermediate- and long-term goals, target audiences, messaging, and tactics to communicate with stakeholders for House of Wolf and Associates.

We determined the most effective media channels for reaching each audience and created a timeline for executing the plan. We built audiences on Facebook, Linkedin and Instagram in just a few months. Strategic social media presence, messaging, and printed postcards and signs resulted in fully booked registration for the organization’s Mental Health and Cultural Resilience Program.

MD Creative developed a strategy for using digital channels and social media platforms to reach and engage with House of Wolf’s target audience. We created content (messaging and visuals), monitored conversations, responded to comments and feedback, and measured the impact of our efforts. We compiled social media reports with analytics and provided suggestions to make changes according to our analysis.

Dragados USA

JANUARY 2017 – PRESENT

Since 2017, MD Creative has worked with Dragados USA, providing support in proposal communications, marketing solutions, graphic design, branding, web design and production management across North America for significant infrastructure projects ranging up to $12 billion in value. We continue to work with Dragados regularly, supporting projects.

Maryland Transit Solutions (MTS) is a team of world-class transit designers, constructors, and specialized technical experts building the $3.4 billion Maryland Transit Purple Line Project in Maryland, USA. We created a communication strategy to increase engagement with local subcontractors and small businesses, promote public outreach events, and establish the subcontractor directory. We supported two years of weekly email marketing and website updates to promote their public outreach and build their subcontractor list to keep the project staffed and on schedule. We designed the website to integrate fully with the client’s Building Connect profile. It allows users to click on open opportunities and apply. This site is easy to navigate, fully mobile responsive, and serves as an automated recruitment and engagement tool. We also designed the project branding used for project trucks, construction hoarding, PPE gear and equipment, and many other print and digital materials.

Inglewood Community Connectors  (iC2) is a team of world-class transit designers, constructors, and specialized technical experts coming together to deliver the Inglewood Transit Connector (ITC) Project in Inglewood, California, USA. We crafted a branding strategy, website design, custom signage, marketing materials, email marketing and proposal communication strategies to help iC2 reach its target audience. The iC2 website primarily focuses on engaging with local subcontractors and businesses to promote employment in the greater Inglewood area. The website helps build a local subcontractor database so the team can target these groups for community outreach events and employment opportunities.
