Hi. Hello. Hey!
I’m Megan Dufresne.
I am stoked that you made it here! I love making new connections and using design to solve problems. That’s my jam. I founded MD Creative back in 2015 to offer businesses a one-stop-shop to build their brand online and in print, without ever having to compromise aesthetics or function. I’m here to use design to tell your story and connect you with your target audience. My passion is helping to bring brands to life in web, print, written copy, video – I love it all! I am obsessed with beautiful and functional design, the kind of design that fosters trust and plays to our emotions.
With over a decade of experience in design and marketing I have been fortunate to work with many talented creatives and tech gurus. This has allowed me to create a collaborative approach to my business. As the creative lead on every project I put together a team of talent that makes sense to the project and budget. I work with two amazing talents (see below) regularly and we ramp up our team if the project calls for it. It has always been my dream to be able to create and design every day and to work with like-minded people. I truly love what I do. Seriously, pinch me.

IMOGEN WALLIS-MAYER
Senior Graphic Design + Photographer
As a graphic designer and professional photographer, Imogen seeks to combine colour, style and design in any composition, whether through digital or physical presentation. Imogen offers ten years of work experience and her time at Ryerson University, where she graduated with honours from their Image Arts Program. Her professional photography skills and strong graphic design background allow her to capture your message within your custom images and visual designs. In addition to her photography and graphic design experience, Imogen has designed and developed over 50 websites. She knows how to create an online presence that is easy to navigate and converts users with a clear call-to-action. Imogen’s specialty is converting text into graphics that communicate your message quickly and effectively. Imogen knows that strong visual content is one of the most authentic ways to introduce and grow your brand. Her goal is to capture images and create designs that represent your message and make a connection with your audience. With a curious mind and a passion for remarkable design, Imogen focuses on leaving a unique and lasting impression through her work.
DANI KARRASS
Communications
Dani is a senior communications specialist and consultant with an MA in Communications from Simon Fraser University. Working for multi-million-dollar brands, local governments, and non-profit public service organizations, she produces sophisticated communications strategies, original writing, social media campaigns, and complex layout designs.
Dani specializes in local government communications and writes, designs, and delivers news releases, social media campaigns, newsletters and economic development-focused content. As a Communications Consultant on projects & campaigns for the cities of Campbell River and Port Alberni, the District of Lantzville and Qualicum Beach, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Port of Miami, BCIT and BC Hydro (1 million campaign views), she created layout designs for infrastructure projects, annual reports, complex capital project infographics, social media graphics, and public engagement info posters for high-impact print and digital media campaigns. Dani’s strengths are translating complex information into accessible and tangible words and design. She’s a meticulous writer and researcher with a keen eye for detail. In short, Dani helps you sound and look awe-inspiring and resonate with your citizens and community stakeholders.
KIRA GALL
Social Media Marketer + Writer
Kira is a social media strategist and marketing expert with over 10 years of experience, specializing in crafting effective, strategic and creative social media strategies. Her methodologies are data-driven, providing actionable insights through in-depth analytics and reporting. Kira has a Bachelor of Communications and certification in public relations from from Capilano University and has taken a multitude of social media courses over the years. She currently manages several successful social media accounts including a Facebook page with over 10,000 followers and has previous experience with a Twitter account with over 200,000 unique followers. Beyond social media management , she excels in implementing strategies, working across all major platforms, and crafting engaging content. Kira is here to help you craft a marketing plan to help you reach your ideal audience and crush your business goals.
MARISSA MORELOS
Photographer
Marissa Morelos, portrait photographer behind the lens of MJ Photography, has been providing Personal Branding Photography since 2016. Heavily influenced by fashion magazines from the 90’s and a strong foundation in the art of posing, she brings an elegant flair to your branding images. How do you want the world to see you? The images she produces help educate your potential clients of who you are and elevate your brand above the competition. Don’t be fooled— having her photograph you will feel like you’re being photographed by your bestie, as she is down to earth and easy to work with.
Marissa is also a Mom of two young boys, a music bingo champ (many times over) and is the happiest when she’s outside.
